The Host

Hailing from just north of Detroit, Michigan, Laura Jane Wilcock moved to San Diego in 2001 and has been in the local scene ever since. Many locals are familiar with her voice as she can regularly be heard leading the seven-piece rock, blues, funk, and soul band, The Tighten Ups, who were were nominated in 2009 as Best Cover/Tribute Band for a San Diego Music Award. LJ has also been seen around town as a karaoke host, a DJ, a comic, and an MC for various events such as CityFest, the South Bay Pride Art & Music Festival, and North County Pride by the Beach. She has also sung the national anthem for the Detroit Red Wings and is an accomplished songwriter. Join Laura Jane as she brings us into the Hapnyn scene in San Diego.

Located just blocks from the ocean in beautiful South Oceanside, CA, Thunderbird Analog Recording Studio is a full service studio with a history of working with and recording some of the most talented musicians in the local scene. Owned and operated by Thomas Yearsley of Lux Records, the studio has seen such talent as The Paladins, Dave Gonzalez, Candye Kane, Laura Chavez, Kim Wilson, James Harman, Nathan James, Billy Watson, Yovee, The Honkeys, Ben Powell, Sue Palmer, Earl Thomas, Kyle Jester, and Steven Hodges.
