The Tighten Ups is a 7-piece soul, funk, blues, rock band fronted by singer (and podcast host) Laura Jane Willcock. Together for more than a decade, they set themselves apart by lacing their rock and roll with syncopated bursts of high voltage brass and soulful doses of rhythm and blues. Nominated in 2009 for a San Diego Music Award as Best Cover/Tribute Band, they are known as Southern California's favorite "Rock and Soul" party band.
